Week 10 Review for Rebels League Teams
A predominantly young Uni Rebels Women's team was unable to match the scoring output by TV Jets in the first quarter, TV Jets jumped out to a 23 to 12 lead, and continued the momentum to end the half 40 to 20. The Lady Rebels battled all game but was unable to catch up to the opposition and ended the game 82 to 42. A silver lining to the contest is the good showing of young gun Tiahne Clarke(15) who led the scoring for Uni Rebels with 5 treys and supported by Chantelle Lee(11) and Edith Boundry(10).
In the Men's game Uni Rebels jumped out to a 24 to 17 lead to end the first quarter. Rebels went on a 33 to 13 scoring run in the second quarter and ended the half with a 47 to 30 advantage. Uni Rebels continued to control the game in the third quarter and out scored TV Jets 31 to 25 and in crease the lead 78 to 55 to end the third quarter. Uni Rebels was cruising in the fourth quarter having built up a good lead and defeating TV Jets 107 to 75. Rebels attack was led by JB Pillard(45) supported by Brad Radovic(18), Larry Hamill(18) and Jake Kirby(11). Leading scorer for TV Jets was Jake Geer with 27 pts.
