The Players, Committee and Supporters of Panton Hill Football Club are saddened by the tragic event over the weekend. Our thoughts and prayers are with Patrick Cronin and his family. Many of our players know Patch through school and community events, some even had the pleasure of playing in the same team as Patch at Research Junior Football Club. Patch also played 1 or 2 games for Panton Hill in the Under 12’s to help us out in a year when we were short of players, while still playing for his beloved ‘Searchers’. He is a fair, courageous and very skilful player. Off the field, a kind, considerate and respectful person. Our thoughts are with Mat, Robyn and family and to his many friends at Lower Plenty and Research Football Clubs. The Panton Hill Football Club stands with the rest of the community and offers support to the many friends of Patch, and we will do whatever we can to make sure our young are both further educated and protected from this sort of senseless act.
