Tigers pressure too good for hornets.
The Rococo Noosa Tigers came back up the Bruce highway with a solid 26 point win over a resilient and much improved Aspley last Saturday.
It keeps the Tigers unbeaten record intact in 2016 and sets up an enthralling clash at home this Saturday against Suncoast rivals Maroochydore who also remain unbeaten after a come from behind win over Mayne at home by 8 points.
It was the physical tackling and harassing pressure shown by the Noosa side that set up their day. All across the ground. but particularly in the forward half, it was evident that the new look Tigers were on the ball.
Aspley were unable to get free and set up play the way they would have liked with the likes of Jai Fitzpatrick, co-captain Tommy McKittrick, youngsters Corey Boardman, Lachie Cameron and Rhys Tarling terrific performers the entire day for Noosa.
Centre half forward Jarrod Westell just never stops presenting whilst ex AFL stars Moloney and Copeland completely controlled their areas and used the ball with precision in quite tricky windy conditions.
Jack Tickner again put in a great performance in his key back roll and was well supported by veteran Tiger Garry Wallace and swing man recruit Joel lambourn.
Whilst the second half seemed to fade into a lull type feeling and all credit to the Hornets persistence, the favoured Noosa side were never in trouble. Great also to see Noosa's 2016 coach chime in with 5 goals ( and set up a fair few more) in a classy half forward display. Sam was electric at the fall of the ball up forward giving the Tiger faithful plenty to look forward to in 2016.

What a weekend coming up at Weyba Road as we commemorate Anzac Day. Always an absolute ripper with the stage set for just a great game of footy between two Suncoast clubs with such history.
The pre season flag favourites Maroochydore have had the wood on the Noosa Rococo Tigers the last couple of times so I'm sure Sammy Faure's men will want to reverse the tables in front of what will be a huge hometown crowd.
Can't wait cheers Pittsy go Tigers
