Remember, you are judged on the "whole package".
EMERGENCY UMPIRES
We will be appointing Emergency Umpires to all finals games. While there will be a separate coaching sheet on the "Role of the Emergency Umpire", please ensure you familiarise yourself with the relevant sections of the laws for the role.
If appointed as an Emergency Umpire, you will require an Association track suit (not the old red & blue jackets). If appointed and you don't have one, you will need to borrow one.
We don't wish to see a harlequin parade of tracksuits "on the bench"
PLAYER VISITS
Field Umpires, visits to player's rooms are to be completed at least 30 minutes before the scheduled start of the game. ie, game at 2-30pm, visits completed by 2-00pm.
SPORTS MEDICINE
The NCCUA has arranged for a sports medicine person to provide massage and other services. The cost to Umpires who use this service will be $10 per massage.
UMPIRES CHANGE ROOMS
Only officiating umpires, coaching staff and required officials are permitted into the umpires change rooms. Umpires rooms are not a social gathering area. While we understand you like to "wish people well" and show support for each other, it's important we allow people to prepare for the task at hand. With full teams of umpires for each grade, there will be enough people in the rooms as is, without adding extras.
As a matter of respect and to ensure the comfort of everyone, please no radios or CD players in the rooms. If you like to have music as part of your preparation maybe the iPod or MP3 is the way to go.
Thankyou.
