Led by Dave Kent with 5 goals and with the handy support of Stewart Walker, Darren Pithers and Chris Whitton, who were multiple goals scorers, The Saints had the game wrapped up by quarter time leading by a massive 76 points.
The competition leaders, who were without 5 regular players including Alex Walker and Fraser Hughes, had winners all over the park with Jason Gobbert dominating the ruck while Gary Hadland and Jono Elphick continued to drive the ball forward. Tony Halloran again showed his great importance to the side with his hunger for the football, contesting and winning marks and the hard ball gets.
The Saints kept the pressure on into the second term kicking 5 goals to 2 to go into the main break up by 98 points.
Inverell went onto to further bury the Swans in the third term kicking 6 goals to 1 point with the highlight being a goal by Nathan `Paul' Cox, his first for the Club. He has been working hard with his kicking and it was certainly appreciated by all the Saints players who went over to congratulate him, the coaching panel and the President who saw the ball sailing over his head. I can tell you it gave me great satisfaction seeing Coxy kick his first goal for the club.
Tiredness and the cold conditions set in for the last term with both teams wanting to hear the final bell and head for the showers. In the end, the Saints showed how hungry they are for success in 2007, but we also realise there are more important games coming up before we can concentrate on the finals series.
Next week the Saints will tackle an improved Tamworth Kangaroos who are still in the hunt for 2nd spot on the TAFL ladder. This will be a huge test for us knowing the Roos could be the team we meet in the Second semi final in a few weeks time. It's up to all players to commit to training on Tuesday and Thursday night in an endeavour to be well prepared for our next challenge.

It's also Pink day in Inverell this Saturday where local women will attempt to play Aussie rules. We're hoping the town will come out and support the day and donate money to the Breast Cancer cause.
Women are asked to be at the ground by 12:30pm on Saturday.
