We would like to express our sincere appreciation for the great work that Ian Brown (U12 Damian's Dad) put into creating and maintaining the Junior Blues website over the last couple of seasons (http://the juniorblues.tk is no longer available). The site just 'magically' appeared one day, full of photos and information, and became our online Club newsletter and message source.
Thank you very much Ian for your fantastic Club web site and your still ongoing contributions to Newcastle City Juniors.
Volunteering at Junior Sporting Clubs is about being able to utilise your skills to be able to benefit the whole Club and therefore make the City Community thrive. However small the contribution, every little bit helps keep the Club going for the kids to be able to continue to enjoy the great sport of Aussie Rules at Newcastle City Juniors.
We're getting to that time of year again where Club office holders will be moving on, and kids and families that have contributed in the past will be going up to Senior Football. If you have any skills that may be valuable to the Club or just the desire to help in some way next year to keep things going, please talk to our Committee members before the Annual General Meeting on Presentation Day.
A list of positions and job descriptions will be available soon.
Our new website, managed through Sporting Pulse and in the same formats as the AFLGSJ and the Newcastle Juniors , will enable the Club to update and manage information more effectively. Any news, articles or photographs that would be suitable for posting on our web site is gratefully appreciated and can be emailed to Su Hinton phlair@tpg.com.au . Anyone interested in managing the Club website for 2008, please let me know.
Thanks again Ian Brown.
