Back at No 1 again - it almost feels like two footy seasons in one year! We hope everyone has recovered from the "Pasha" storm on the long weekend in Newcastle. The staff at No 1 Sportsground had a major headache to deal with after the storm with the eruption of a large section of the oval from storm water pressure. A concrete lid on a storm drain 2.5m under the oval blew out with the incredible water pressure and left a huge gaping hole near the goals at the Clubhouse end of the oval. This hole kept us all off No 1 oval for weeks, but finally things have returned to normal and we can once again enjoy the great facilities and playing surface that we so often take for granted.
Training is back on Tuesdays and Thursdays - 4.30pm - 6pm, and while some games have been rescheduled or moved, things are looking good to get back on track for the rest of the season.
Welcome home!
