Muswellbrook have a long road trip to take on the dangerous bulldogs in Gunnedah. The Bulldogs last game at home resulted in a big win over the Eagles and with The Cats still reeling after last weekend's loss and they will need to be at their very best if they are to bounce back against the Bulldogs. It is a tough ask and I'm tipping the Bulldogs to upset the Cats which will keep their chance of playing in the finals alive.
In the match of the round in Tamworth the Roos face off against the Nomads who will be keen to get their season back on track following their bye last week and the forfeit to Inverell the week before. With the Cats season all of a sudden looking shaky the Nomads will have plenty to play for and if they take their best side to Tamworth they will trouble the Roos. Having said that the Roos at home are always hard to beat and a win this weekend will pretty much secure a birth in this year finals. The Roos have some improving young players and I think with the chance to secure a finals berth on their home ground they will be too good for The Nomads.
In the third game of the weekend the Swans travel to Narrabri to play the Eagles and on current form it is hard to see the Swans letting this game slip. They too have a chance to secure a spot in the finals with a big win and although the Eagles are a much better side at home I'm tipping the Swans to win in a close result.
The Saints have the bye.
Disko's tips The Cats, The Roos and The Swans.
