The Club is pleased to confirm former players Jake Gumley and Jess Johnson have returned from their perspective stints in the Riverina and provide a timely boost to the Club’s First Grade 2016 preparations.
Gumley will look to add to his 104 Eastlake senior matches and is raring to go after a solid pre-season on track.
“With Dan coming on board as Coach along with the Club placing a greater emphasis on the local First Grade competition it has been fantastic to return to the Club,” said Gumley.

“The Club is well placed for the future with a number of young players coming through the ranks.”
For Johnson it is welcome return to where he grew up playing as a local junior.
“I am really looking forward to coming back home and playing for Eastlake. With all the internal changes with the NEAFL, there is a real buzz about the upcoming season,” said Johnson.
First Grade Coach Dan Ryall stressed the importance of the players returning to their own Club.
“To have guys like Jake and Jess returning is fantastic for the Club and along with guys like Alex Wilson, Ben Scott and Michael Ryan dropping back from NEAFL, we will really look to them to have an influence on the players coming through” said Ryall.
The First and Second Grade squads continue their preparations for the season ahead with training currently at Hughes Oval on Monday & Wednesday nights. New & existing players are more than welcome to attend.
