The 2016 season has come around quickly, with the team commencing training on 1st February. Recruitment has been fruitful, with the club signing four players from NFL Division One clubs;

Scott Conte - Greensborough (Pictured: Middle photo, Left hand side)
Sam Parks - Greensborough (Pictured: Middle photo, Top right-hand corner)
Sam Switkowski (Pictured: top photo):
Sam is a Northern Knights best and Fairest winner (2014) and a current Box Hill Hawk player in the VFL Competition. Whilst Sam is only available for a handful of games for the Redbacks this year, he wants to form a strong bond with a Community Club who he thinks he will be able to make an impact, whether that be now, or in the future. Sam is also local to our area.
We welcome you all, and look forward to seeing them playing in the Red and Black.
Equally as important, we've attracted a number of new players to the club that will make our Reserves teams stronger, an important ingredient for the clubs overall chances of playing finals in 2016.
Without doubt the 2015 season was disappointing, both on and off the field. Finishing 2nd bottom and unimpressive financial result. Having said that I believe this has steeled the many good people we have working within the Panton Hill Football Club to ensure these results are not repeated in 2016. Whilst recruiting has been strong, equally we have welcomed many new faces to our committee, who are now working on specific areas within the club, helping to shoulder the workload overall. With a required annual turnover of $250,000 to operate, we are not that dissimilar to a small business, and therefore we are forever looking at new ways to generate additional revenue.
The Panton Hill Football Club is an integral part of our unique rural community, and has links to the various other community clubs, schools and businesses around the area, where from young boys and girls join our junior club. We are now proud to boast that many of the children who played Auskick and Juniors more than 10 years ago, are now settling themselves in as regular members of the Senior teams or under 19's.
All this can only happen with your ongoing support, and we are once again looking for your support in 2016. Obviously I would encourage you to take up the same sponsorship and/or membership level from 2015, but I would also like to encourage you to take a look at some of the other sponsorship opportunities listed in the attached ‘Sponsorship and membership’ document. In particular, this year we are offering your business a 'Match of the Day' function, where for $1000, you can entertain 10 customers or guests in a Marquee in a prime boundary location.
Keep checking the website as well as Facebook and Instagram for regular updates.
Thanks again for your ongoing support. It is greatly appreciated and look forward to seeing you all around the Club in 2016.
