The Noosa Tigers welcome the latest arrival from down south. Jarrod Westell (age 22) has made the move from Hobart, Tasmania, to study for a Bachelor of Education (HPE/Outdoor Rereation Studies) at the Sunshine Coast University, chosing this learned establishment over Melbourne University.
Jarrod has played all his football in Hobart and in 2011 was selected to play for Tasmania in the National Under 18 Championships.
In 2013 he played with the Lauderdale Bombers in the Tasmanian Southern League and was a member of their losing Grand Final Tteam. Jarrod's year must have been pretty good as he came 5th in the Eade Medal for the Leagues Best and Fairest.
In 2015 he was a member of the Claremont Magpies team when they took out the Southern Football League competition Premiership. Jarrod starred a Centre Half Forward and got amongst the goals.
Also in 2015 Jarrod represented Tasmania in the Australian Amateur Footbal Council National Carnival playing against teams from western Australia, Victoria and South Australia.
Jarrod weighs in at 95kg and is 190cm tall.
