The Noosa Tigers have announced the names of the Senior assistant, reserves, U19 coaches, and the Senior + Reserves Coaching mentor who will be working closely with Senior Coach, Sam Faure.
Assisting Sam as Senior assistant coach will be his father, Steve Fuare. Steve has a long association with football going back to his days in Portland when he played in the Western Border League where he drifted between the half forward line and rucl/rover duties. Although Steve was lucky enough to play in three grand finals unforunately he never got to drink from the premiership cup. Steve has had extensive coaching experience at the junior level and has been trainer, runner and assistant coach at Under 19 and Reserves grades.
Helping out in the box will we will see the return to the Tigers of Wayne "Fletch" Fletcher. Fletch was senior coach for 6 years from 2008 until he retired at the end of season 2013. In that period of time he took the Tigers to a preliminary final and three grand finals with back to back premierships in 2010 and 2011.
Reserves coach, Danny O'Brien, joined the Tigers in 2007 and played for many years before succumbing to a serious leg injury.
Under 19s coach, Dave "Tinman" Carroll, also joined the Tigers in 2007 and was reserves playing coach for a season and winner of the coveted John Bain Memorial tropphy.
