Season Report - U12 Girls Joeys
Under 12 Girls (Joeys)
Reflecting on the 2015 season we can say that we were very happy with the progress of the U12 Girls team. Of the 16 players in the team, 6 were carry-ons from last year’s U11s, 3 were from another club and futsal and 7 were first year players. Naturally it took a little time to jell but as the season went on the team and the individual players progressed significantly.
Finishing 9th in a league of 14 was about right – our slow start to the season and a few heavy losses to teams which should probably been in the higher Kangaroos league meant that we were never going to win the Championship. But that’s not the important thing. Of much greater importance was how we tried to play good football, how we got better week to week and how we showed good sporting behaviour. On that league table we were on top.
Finally, special thank-you’s to our very on-the-ball Team Manager Lise, the patient Adam our Assistant Coach, our stand-in coaches Jacki and Tomas who looked after the team while I was away at the World Cup for a month in June.
And thanks to all the parents – a pleasure to work with and very supportive of their girls and the team, pitching in when needed and models of how parents should behave at matches.

That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand.
