Hello everyone
Please find attached the weekly fixtures for this weekend, the 28th, 29th and 30th August 2015.
For those not aware our NEAFL team last weekend were successful on their road trip to Ainslie.
Southport were very kind to us as they beat Sydney University consequently Aspley went back up to 3rd on the ladder.
For this coming weekend it is a huge day at Graham Road Saturday the NEAFL play Sydney Swans in a replay of last year’s Grand Final.
The game starts at 12 Noon. Am sure the Swans will be here to play and get some revenge for losing the Grand Final to us last season.
So please come along and support our NEAFL boys, we need to get behind them as this is the last fixture game before Finals.
The Club has also catered for our younger players by bringing in a Jumping Castle , Inflatable Slide, Animal Farm and there are various competitions with some good prizes for our young spectators.
Also we have our young Under 8s and Under 9s playing games at Half Time.
A BIG, BIG day so please support the Club.
An update from last weekend.
Our Under 19s outclassed Maroochydore. Aspley 19.13 127 defeated Maroochydore 2.5 17. The 19s go straight into the Grand Final.
As predicted our 2 Youth teams Under 14s and Under 16s both had very good wins in their respective Semi-Finals and now progress to the Preliminary Final which in both cases will be played next week.
Both of these teams played some very good football and eventually overcame the opposition quite comfortably.
This week we have our 2 undefeated teams Under 12 Division 1 and Under 13 Division 1 playing in 2nd Semi-finals at Narangba on Sunday at 8.00 am and 9.45 am respectively.
We have high hopes for these 2 teams
Our QFA Seniors and Reserves have finished their seasons. Both teams although missing the finals improved through the season.
Sorry but I have not heard from Masters so am not sure what is happening.
It is the last fixtures for the season for Junior Teams (u6 to U11) and we have another busy day at Brendale to finish the season.
One thing I would like to mention to our Juniors is - a huge thank you to everyone for your patience this season out at Brendale with all the construction work that is taking place.
However it will be beneficial for us all as next season we will have another Football Oval to help us accommodate our growing Club.
For those persons rostered on for duties this weekend can you please send me a message and let me know if you are OK to do the job.
Umpires again I may have to juggle your games around depending on the availability of some Umpires. Please contact me. Will be in touch.
As always we hope you have a most enjoyable weekend with whichever team you are involved with or follow.
Go Hornets!!!!.
