Last weekend 23 players and staff travelled to Darwin to play the Northern Territory in Round 10 of the TAC Cup. Although the boys didn’t get the result on the scoreboard they were treated to a number of cultural /educational presentations from AFL NT. From these presentations both players & staff will gain a much greater understanding of the differences in culture between metropolitan Melbourne and the remote communities of the Northern Territory.
Players were also give the opportunity to the visit the Darwin Military Museum where the Japanese bombed our shores during the second World War.
We hope that all players & staff enjoyed the experience and came away with some learning's from the ‘Top End’.
