AT least five Geelong players will represent the Victoria Country Youth Girls Football Team at the national championships in Perth next week.
Newtown & Chilwell’s Lily Mithen has also been selected as captain of the Victorian squad for the third year running.
The other players from the Geelong region are, Temika Beeston, 17, Brooke Lowe, 16, (emergency) and Kristy McInnes, 17, all of Modewarre, with Sarah Chapman, 16, Geelong West/St Peters and Olivia Purcell, 14, from Newtown & Chilwell.
However, as emergency, Lowe will only be heading west if one of the others goes on to the sick list.
The five were presented with their Victorian jumpers at a formal presentation night on Sunday at the Essendon Football Club.
