Laharum made short work of Rupanyup, joining Edenhope-Apsley and Natimuk United as the only other undefeated team with a 55-27 win.

Defenders Nikki Ervin and Ema Iredell shone for Laharum, while a 21-goal haul from Blair Burke added some respectability to the Rupanyup scoreboard.

Laharum co-coach Caitlin Story said a fast start helped get the Mountain Maids in a winning position.

‘‘We came out strong and had a good first quarter, which is what we try to do every week,’’ she said. ‘‘Rup came back at us a bit, but we were able to withstand it.’’
