WEST Preston-Lakeside was left to rue a goalless final quarter as it went down by 15 points against Bundoora at Yulong Reserve on Saturday. The Roosters trailed by two points at three-quartertime in the Northern Football League Division 1 clash, but two goals was enough for the hosts to seal a 12.12 (84) to 9.15 (69) triumph.

Adam Valeri, Brad Sanderson and Shaun Gannon were West Preston’s best players in the loss.
The Roosters sit eighth with a 1-2 record ahead of their Round 4 clash against Heidelberg this weekend.
In other results, Northcote Park was no match for reigning premier Greensborough, losing by 38 points at War Memorial Park.
In Division 3, Reservoir failed to capitalise on a barnstorming start, falling to a 19-point loss against Watsonia.
The Mustangs booted six goals in the opening quarter at A.K Lines Reserve, but managed just four for the remainder of the match in a 13.9 (87) to 10.6 (66) defeat.
Toby O’Meara finished with four goals, while ruckman Jason Dal Santo, Judd Darby and Matthew Crump impressed. Reservoir slipped to sixth after the loss with one win from its opening three matches.
Ross Terranova’s side faces a danger game against St Mary’s at Crispe Park this weekend.
