The Anzac Day formalities will commence at 2pm on the oval including an involvement by our very own Perry Fletcher who served in Vietnam.
On the Football front, we now get to challenge Balwyn who the experts think are the No.1 side in the competition. If we go into the game with the same incredible desperation as Rnd 18 last year, we might surprise. Good luck boys, supporters are starting to know the new faces and appreciate the very encouraging efforts so far.
As far as the Senior Team goes. We will naturally miss Kirby McConnon who sadly fractured his lower leg last week and we certainly wish him well today in hospital Also missing is young Sam Wadley who is unfortunately not available. Coming into the team are Andy Ellis and debutant Robbie McComb, a youngster from Ferntree Gully.
Our Reserves have a number of players playing their first game for the year. Michael Sonsie, who is now keen to play footy after some time off. Which is fantastic as he has been a wonderful player in recent reserves Premierships and could very much have a Senior role this year. Also we have the previously injured Xavier Barry-Murphy, Jack McEwin and new player to Club Jake Trotter.
