Richmond named mature-age recruit Kane Lambert to make his senior league debut in last Saturday’s Round 2 match against the Western Bulldogs at the MCG.
Lambert, 23, was taken by the Tigers at pick 46 in the rookie draft late last year for his first shot at AFL football after missing out on club selection in several previous drafts.
Kane is the son of West Preston past player Russell Lambert who played 50 plus games for West Preston in the 1970s. Russell has been described as a hard at it player, and by all reports, all these attributes are showing up in his son Kane in spades
On behalf of everyone at the West Preston Lakeside Football Club we would like to congratulate Kane on this milestone achievement.
