Training is back in full swing and with full fervour, with 49 players hitting the track on Wednesday night representing the Seniors, Reserves and Under 19s teams as well as 2015 Coach Joffa Byron and Assistant Coach Tristan Kreymborg. Amongst them were six new players in Brendan Cullen, Matt Sherwood, Mitch Anderson, Michael Higgins, Michael Larcom-Cooper and Alex Dines.
These boys aren’t all that’s new this year: soon, warm up tops will be available for all players, personalised with names on the back. Be sure to get one from merchandise!
We’ve also picked up a new sponsor in Nillumbik Cellars & The Vines Café in Diamond Creek – great to have them on board and we look forward to working with them throughout the 2015 season.
Players can also look forward to contributions from the Eltham Physiotherapy Centre this season to help with aches and muscle soreness. Physiotherapy student Alex Marr, who some of you may have met on Wednesday night, will be on hand at training and match day for strapping and rub downs.
Construction of the Superbox is going strong and we expect that our new match day innovation will be up and ready in a week. Anyone can book a match in the Superbox with nine mates to watch the day’s play in prime viewing area whilst receiving food and drinks.
