Maroochydore has signed former Mt Gravatt Grand Finalist and Coolamon (Riverina)premiership player and assistant coach Ben Cadzow for the 2015 season.
The 27-year-old Cadzow is a tall, rebounding key defender who has transformed himself into a hardworking forward which will give senior coach Brett Maloney the flexibilty to use him at the bookends of the ground as needed.
Cadzow, who came through the Suncoast Power representative program, is a former Brisbane Lions Reserves player and was in the Mt Gravatt Grand Final. He missed a season of footy after a severe leg infury but returned in 2011 to help guide Cooloman to the premiership as a key forward and assistant coach.
"It's another quality pick up for the club," senior coach Brett Maloney said. "Key position players are hard to come across as it is but to have someone like Ben who has the ability to play at both ends offers us aheap of flexibilty.
"Plus he's an Army boy with a coaching background so his leadershiop around the joint will be tremendous for some of those yonger players."
Ben is also the son of assistant coach, Andrew, who was kind enough to help fill in his player profile below.
