The Maroochydore Roos AFC are thrilled to announce 2006 AFLQ Youth Coach of the Year Paul Meehan as Colt's coach for 2015.
Meehan will take the reigns from Steve Moody who took a up an assistant role with the Senior side during the off season.
"It is a fantastic appointment for the club" Roos President, Matt Bury said. "Paul has been doing waonderful things over at a Kawana for a number of years so we are thrilled to have a coach of his calibire lead the next generation of Roos."
Paul grew up and played footy in the Northern Suburbs of Melbourne during the 70s, 80s early 90s and is a mad Collingwood supporter.
He moved to the Sunshine Coast 20 years ago and represented Noosa in the mid 90s where he also served on the Noosa committee for a short time.
He joined Chancellor Park (later Kawana Park) when his son started playing junior footy in 2003 and served on the committee for 9 years as President and Vice President.
In that time coached Kawana Park under age teams for 7 seasons including 3 years as Under 16 coach between 2011 and 2013.
Paul was name AFL Queensland youth coach of the year 2006 and is a life member of Kawana Park JAFC.
