UNDER 19 BLUES COACH APPOINTED
De La Salle Old Collegians is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael Petrie as its Under 19 Blues Coach for the 2015 season.
Mick’s Coaching experience is well known in Amateur circles having previously coached at senior level at Marcellin Old Collegians and St. Kevins Old Boys. He also has many successful years of coaching experience at School XVIII level with St. Bedes, De La Salle, Marcellin and St Kevins.
Mick has been a senior teacher at the College for a number of years. He is currently Year 12 Coordinator and will be Year 11 Coordinator in 2015. We are extremely pleased to have someone of Micks experience to develop our group in 2015.
This appointment evolved after recent discussions with the Principal of the College Peter Houlihan where it was agreed it was in our best interests to have our Under 19 Blues Coach employed by the School.
Our 2014 Blues Coach Michael Hogan was supportive of this position and importantly will remain with us next year assisting our Under 19 Gold Coach Marty Kelliher. Marty is most fortunate to have Hoges by his side.
Our Under 19's will join the seniors for pre-season training, which commences officially on Tuesday November 18 at Waverley oval.
