Moreland Zebras seeking NPL Coaches for 2015
Moreland Zebras are currently playing in Football Federation Victoria’s National Premier Leagues 1 competition and are based at De Chene Reserve, Coburg.
We are seeking coaching applications for NPL boys and girl’s teams for 2015 – an exciting and fresh year at the club which will be based on creating a highly unique, professional and enjoyable working environment for coaches in order to further enhance the standard of young footballers at the club and in Victoria.
All applicants must possess AFC/FFA C Licence or FFA Youth C as well as a Working with Children Check as a bare minimum.
Applicants require in-depth knowledge of the FFA National Curriculum and show evidence of possessing the following criteria.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum AFC/FFA C Licence or FFA Youth C Licence
- Detailed knowledge of the updated FFA National Curriculum
- Willingness to use National Curriculum as main foundation and add ideas
- Abiding by club’s proposed Football Development Plan
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, visual and demonstration)
- Passion for long term player development over short term results and titles
- Display creativity and flexibility when working alone or under pressure
- Open to regularly sharing ideas with others
- Participating and learning as part of a group of coaches (coaching family)
- Highly organised yet adaptable session planning
- Effective use of technology to enhance learning opportunities
- Professionalism and openness when giving/receiving constructive criticism
- Energetic and enthusiastic without allowing emotion to cloud judgement
- Up to date knowledge of modern football as a regular viewer
- Passionate about the ‘big picture’ – developing better Australian Footballers and People to improve the standard of our National Teams, Domestic Leagues and overall Football Operations.
Appointed coaches will report directly to the Technical Director.

- A cover letter outlining why you would like to work in Moreland’s unique coaching environment in 2015 and beyond
- A detailed Football CV
- A session plan for the Football Problem: “Our No.9 is isolated when receiving the ball in the attacking third.”
