Next Saturday will see Nathan Winter take the field for his 19th game this season and his 150th Senior game for Noosa. He will join three other players who have already attained this lofty level - Angel Duke (who will be playing game 222), Gary Wallace (173) and Cubby Isles (152).
Nathan started his footy doing the Auskick thing at Portland, Victoria, and graduated through the under 12's, 14's, 16's and 18's as a midfielder, whilst scoring a spot in the Western Border Rep side along the way as well as winning the Under 16's B&F.
In 2005, as a 19 year old, Nathan made the big move North and joined the Tigerland family at Noosa playing all 19 Senior matches that year.
2006 saw him enjoy another successful year and he was a member of the Tigers Grand Final side that went down to Western Magpies.
In 2009 Nathan ventured south to try senior footy in Lorne, but returned to this little bit of paradise in 2010. This was the year that saw Nathan join his team mates and lift the Premiership Cup high as Noosa managed to get over Sandgate by 7 points.
When asked about Nathan, Noosa Seniors Coach James Gellie replied, "In my short time at the club Nathan has impressed me with his outstanding fitness level as well as
his physical presence on the football field. He's hard at the ball and he is able to adapt to the different roles that he's been asked to play. He is a hard working player that does what's best for the team."
Away from footy Nathan is a mechanic and owner of Noosa Exhaust and Mechanical. Whenever he can he hops on a board, gets out fishing or plays a social game of hoops but really loves the walks on the Noosa River with Kelsey and Ali
