Round 14 Wrap up
Highlight of the round was the terrific effort of the U9 and U12’s in a day out at Clifton Hill
U9’s away to Clifton Hill. A team of pedestrians in the first half, and a workman like performance by manning up and taking the opportunities put the spark back in the game. A good contest that parents from both sides enjoyed.
U12’s Won 5-0 Away to Clifton Hill. Showed the teams potential to execute the plan and keep tight in defence. Could have been more such was the dominance for a determined team.
U14’s Lost 0-3 Away to Oak Park. In between comparing mobile phone contracts and checking signal strength in a 100 metre range, the referee from the home team found time to check the tote. Having a game go on is a real inconvenience sometimes.
U15’s Won 6-0 at home to Epping. Good win to boost the percentage. A frenzy to get the goals, not seen outside of a Boxing Day sale saw Nillumbik take the points. Well done to Epping for playing within the spirit and trying all day.
