Round 11 Wrap Up
Highlight of the round was the terrific effort of the U9’s in dominating a more experience team.
U9’s Away to Redbacks. What a great effort from our boys, with a big turnaround from last time these teams met. The team showed plenty of enthusiasm and fun to meet the challenge against a team that had a few season under their belt for sure. Well done to the boys.
U12’s Lost 3-0 Away to Coburg. Tough away gig again, with Coburg being a quality team. Despite the score the team showed moments of brilliance and determination, but could not buy a goal. Steve was happy with the approach, but against a team that has scored fewer goals, you do feel luck did not go our way.
U14’s Lost 4-1 Away to North City. Bit of a touch up, but pulled a goal back against the top of the table team that has only 11 goals against them all season before this encounter. This is a first year team, doing a great job, and not team in their league takes them lightly.
U15’s Won 4-0 at home to Coonans Hill. Good win, and never in doubt all game.. A number of key players missing had the team off to a slow start. But the Boys settled into a passing and cover game in the second half to take the points.
