2 BIG wins this week see the League girls sitting equal 3rd on points on the ladder and the reserves girls keeping their finals hopes alive just 3 wins out of the 4. They will need to win the last 3 games in order to gain a finals berth.
The League team played a Friday night game down at Anning Park in the cross town Derby against South Fremantle. In what is always a tough encounter the large crowd that gathered to see the contest was not disappointed. The South girls turned to hard hitting and tried to rattle the Sharks but the silky skills and well-rounded team game that the Sharks put on was no match for the Bulldogs with EF coming out clear winners. The backline continued to work hard, keeping the SF girls to only one point, the midfield were too fit and their delivery into the forwards was spot on. The girls are definitely finding some form heading into the final 3 rounds.

The Reserves girls are also coming good at the right end of the season and are now will have to keep the winning streak going if they are to make finals. Let’s hope they haven’t left their run too late. Going to the form of the last two weeks though, they can be confident taking on teams in the final 3 rounds. The girls were able to put on a classy show on Sunday with some excellent passages of play and a sound all round team game.
