Round 8 Wrap Up

Scoop uses Myki around the suburbs, then a taxi home for the derby.

U9’s away to Diamond Valley. Team went down to Partingtons flat, which for those like Scoop with a flair for geography will know broke away from Antarctica just last century. Scoop shivered and the boys eventually defrosted in the second half to put in an encouraging performance.

U12’s lost 1-3 away to Mill Park. Tough game that was winnable, team tried all day and the score did not really reflect the game which was in the balance. Team are mid table and are sure to climb in the second part of the season.

U14’s Drew 3-3 Away to Upfield. This one was for third spot on the ladder and ended with both teams taking equal spoils. Boys have let in a few goals this season, which means the goal difference is not doing any favours. Well placed and ready for Templestowe this week.

U15’s Won 7-1 Home to Diamond Valley. Local Derby attracted a big crowd, and the Nillumbik boys delivered. Last season it was a game apiece, so both teams were keen to do well and show improvement.

Despite having the majority of possession, the team went in 2-0 down at half time. The tide turned with four unanswered goals in the last half. Credit to the team, kept at it and took the points.
