Winchelsea Blues were victorious on Saturday in a hard fought contest up against Anakie.
The win puts Winchelsea two games clear in the top 5 as they now focus on the second half of the year and are back to back finals campaign.
As a mark of respect black armbands were worn on the passing of Therese Napthine. Our thoughts are with the Napthine family.
Saturday's game was very hard fought and The Blues stood tall as Anakie threw everything they had at them. Brett Venables found a return to form bagging 4 goals up forward. Jeremy Sezun was instrumental down back along with Brad Mackenzie. Chris Nobba Giuricin was sensational at ground level and never gave an inch to the opposition all day. As we head towards the home straight of the 2014 season we are in a great position to take part in finals football.
