The Mackay City Hawks played host to the Moranbah Bulldogs on Saturday Night in what was a top of the table clash between the 2 senior teams. The 3rd quarter started the same as the 2nd ended for the hawks with moranbah right on top and when they kicked out to a 31 point lead 15 minutes in the 3rd quarter the game looked gone. The hawks boys had other ideas and mounted a comeback kicking the last 4 goals of the quarter to be down by 8 points. The last quarter saw the hawks have many opportunites but fell 6 points short kicking 1.8 for the quarter.
