Conditions were perfect for football on Saturday afternoon at The Hill, with the new electronic scoreboard unveiled for the clash against local rivals Hurstbridge. The visitors showed early they had come to play, kicking the first 2 goals of the game. However, The Hills steadied and kicked the next 3 goals to finish the quarter a goal in front. In the second the Redbacks were on fire and really took control of the game, managing four goals in a row to get a five goal advantage mid way through the term, but took their foot off the gas to allow the Bridges back in. At half time Hurstbridge were within 9 points. The momentum had swung and Hurstbridge capitalised on a good third quarter to lead at the final break and set up a big finish. Panton Hill then started the final term strongly and with 10 minutes to go had worked their way to a 10 point lead but again took their foot off the gas and the visitors kicked the final three goals of the game to reverse the result from round 3. Travis Miller was the most solid of the backmen for The Hills with a best on ground performance, whilst Tristan Kreymborg showed his value in the ruck and around the ground. Nick Lowther was strong up forward , along with Tait Forster and Tyler Scarce once again on the ball. The other key contributor for The Hills was assistant coach Simon Amore.
