Round 4 Wrap Up
Round 4, U14’s fall short in a thriller at home. U9 MiniRoos take control.
U9’s Played Home to Heidelberg United. Great game with some super goals to answer the one scored against us in the first few minutes. The team is really enjoying itself on the field, with confidence growing each week. This week the boys took control and never looked back.
U12’s Lost 3 -1 Home to Birrarung. Scoop had to leave before half time to catch the bus to the U15 game. Looked like our team was in with a chance from what Scoop did see. Good effort to get one back against one of the stronger teams.
U14’s Lost 4 -3 Home to Faulkner. What a game, lost in the dying minutes. Faulkner is a quality team and one of the favourites to win the league. Our U14’s are a new outfit this year, and they are showing great potential. Steve filled in for coach Kane and did a terrific job. The re match will be a cracker. U15’s Lost 6 - 1 Away to Birrarung. A ten man team hit with illness went down to a 15 man squad from Birrarung. Hamish pulled one back for the Visitors, but in the end tiredness set in as Birrarung got 3 break away goals. Boys did not give in, as evidence from the late goal.
