A great weekend for the East Fremantle girls with all 3 teams having excellent wins.
The Youth Girls played in their first match as a standalone team and had a great win over Perth Angels. Coached by 2 time All-Australian Caitlyn Edwards (who also features in our League team) the girls got the season off to a great start. 9 goals for 9 individual goal scorers shows the depth of the talent in this team. We're looking forward to seeing them develop through the rest of the season.
Final Score
EF 9.2 (56)
PA 3.2 (20)
The reserves took on SNESA at East Fremantle oval and looked sharp and far too skilled for the Angels. Good to see the return of Nicole George after almost a year away from the game with illness. The experienced Ashleigh Brinkhuizen and Kymberley Lavell through the center were best players along with first year player Kate Regan who is putting in solid performances each week. Veteran Narrelle Scott was awarded the coaches award for her efforts up forward.

EF 19:11:125
SNESA 2:3:15
The league girls then travelled to Anning Park, Cockburn to take on a fiery South Fremantle in the local Derby. There was hard hitting, hard running and no hard feelings as the two teams battled it out. The league girls keen to rebound from last weeks loss and put their skills on show. Jessica "woosha' Weutchner continued with her season with another stella performance across the ground. If you haven't been to a game yet to watch this girl in action you are missing out! Caitlin Eddy Edwards continued with her fine from returning from the National Carnival and was dynamite running off the half back line while Kym Downey on the other half back flank also easily accounted for any opponent the bulldogs threw at her. Melissa Caulfield lead the charge in the forward line kicking straight to claim a handful of goals and the coaches award.
