SENIORS
North Heidelberg are a fast and slick side who will make sides pay on the turnovers. That's exactly what they did early against Panton Hill with a massive 9 goal to nothing first quarter at Cracknell Reserve on Saturday. Redbacks coach Dean Haydock gave his side an old fashioned spray at quarter time which seemed to have a positive effect on his chargers who promptly kicked 6 goals in the second quarter featuring 5 goals to Brendan O'Connor. The Redbacks continued their positive form by dominating the play in the third quarter but couldn't convert from very gettable shots whilst thethe Doggies used their dash to covert their few forward 50 entries into goals. The last belonged to the Hills who outscored the visitors after quarter time in a terrific final 3 quarter effort. The young Redbacks will learn plenty from playing such a determined and talented side which will place them in a good position to take on the Bloods next week at Lalor in what looms as an important game aginst the sixth placed side.
RESERVES
Some very good periods of football for The Hills against a very strong North Heidelberg, but it was the lapses in concentration which lead to such a big margin in the end.
UNDER 19s
A big task against the ladder leaders St Mary's away from home for the Redback Under 19s and ultimnately a big loss, but some good signs to kick a few handy goals.
