Campbelltown reserves took on parramatta in the only game at monarch on Saturday. Both teams were evenly matched and both were looking for wins. Campbelltown were first out of the barriers with great run early. Early inside 50s courtesy of the centre clearances saw campbelltown kick two majors in a row to lead by 12 points after only 5 minutes. Parramatta quickly gained there feet and finished the 1st quarter on top to take the quarter time lead 4.2.26 to campbelltowns 2.0.12.
Reserves needed to lift in the 2nd term and lift they did,the defence stood strong as they held parramatta to 1 point for the quarter and if it wasn't for poor finishing in front of goal they could of held a commanding lead going into halftime. Campbelltown managed two goals two for the quarter leaving the game in the balance at half time with parramatta holding a 1 point lead 4.3.27 to ctown 4.2.26.
Going into the premiership quarter campbelltown were reduced to two on the bench, with chanta sent it hospital at half time for a head knock and with voss succumbing to a should injury it would be a tough task for the blues. The third quarter both teams landed blows with campbelltown spraying chances on goal with kicks out on the full and not taking it's chances in front of goal whereas parramatta took their chances when they came along. At the final break the game was anyone's as parramatta held a slight advantage 6.3.39 to 4.5.29. The final term saw the blues concede first and parramatta looked to kick away but campbelltown took the game to parramatta with two quick goals to give themselves a chance. With 7 minutes remaining the blues were down by 10 needing two majors to win it but parramatta held their nerve and kicked the final goal of the game taking the win 9.4.58 to 6.6.42.
