To lose Michael Sonsie in the first quarter and full back Jacob Castricum in the third were significant. Jacob Castricum was unfortunately badly concussed and need an ambulance to hospital.
Thankfully he is OK today and may miss a week. Well done to out trainers who looked after him.
It was a terrific game with difference in the scores, apart from 18 point lead that we had for about 30 seconds, was less than 12 points all day. Well done to our boys who really had a go and you had to be proud of them. The highlight was the return to form of Justin Van Unen who turned on one of his best performances at the Club to boot eight goals including some quite incredible efforts. His goal in the final term from the boundary in front of the Balwyn Clubrooms was a fantastic.
The Reserves turned on a power performance winning by 91points, the Under 19s struggled to get control and then in the final term overwhelmed Balwyn to get up by 6 goals, AND the FH Eagles made it two in a row to defeat Warrandyte by 17points.
Next Saturday we have Noble Park at home and this is a must win game.
