Men's Div 7 report

Div 7 vs Gungahlin United

Another close loss for the lads. After a good showing in the opening 20 minutes the Pumas lost both centre backs to injury (Deschamps and Hanrahan) which meant a reshuffle of the lineup. During this time the opposition pounced to take a 1-0 lead into the halftime break.

The second half saw a more settled Pumas team with the return of Deschamps and they started to play to their potential but a slight lapse of concentration saw them go another goal down. With a few tactical changes the team fought back to level the scores 2-2 with goals from Stuart Noyce and BK (penalty). The game then went into a skillful period with both teams pressing, but in the last couple of minutes the opposition won a corner and scored with a good header inside the box.

So while the team played well (with strong performances from the Div 9 players Musso and Cormick) again a lack of concentration towards the end of the game cost the Pumas at least a point.
