After break the Tigers came out all guns blazing, kicking the first two goals of the quarter within minutes of each other. The Blues were struggling to contain the home side who had all the momentum, kicking four goals to one in the third quarter and reducing the Blue’s margin to just 14 points at three-quarter time.
Again in the last quarter the Tigers kicked the first two goals and were running all over the Blues, with the game played in Werribee’s forward half for much of the quarter. Josh Porter (4 goals, 20 disposals) provided a real spark for the Tigers up forward, taking a hanger in the goalsquare late in the game to set up Billy Henderson, who sealed the victory for Werribee.
