Following a gutsy draw versus Fitzroy in round 2, the seniors and reserves take on Ajax this Saturday at Princes Park in what is set to be a huge match. There were a number of positives taken out of the Fitzroy game where the boys came from 15 points down at 3 qtr time to almost steal the game. The new boys Povey and Backway have been impressive plus the likes of Limon, Gleadhill, Schofield and Stowe all beat their opponents on the day.
The boys have come back refreshed after Easter. There has been a great feeling on the track this week and the whole team are determined to do well against unbeaten AJAX. Similarly the reserves are looking for a strong performance at home. The thirds travel across town to PEGS.
The U19’s were very competitive in round 2 going down to Oakleigh by only 2 points. This weekend they take on Peninsula old boys for the second time this season in search of their first victory.
Haileybury 1st XVIII play their first game for the season against St Kevins at St Kevins. We wish all teams good luck.
