They say you learn more from a loss than a win. Let’s hope we did. Because the final term was not fun. But it is a long season and the race has only just started. The Craig Coghlan CSR Monier Best Player went to Simon Taylor, followed by Nick Johnson, Lachy Johns, Kris Bardon, Grant McCarthy, Andy Ellis and Justin Van Unen. The Reserves were in front all day, but could never really get total control in very high standard game. The Perry Fletcher Award Best player went to Daniel Reid with a polished display, followed by Travis Bird, Matt Willcocks, Xavier Barry-Murphy, Tom Pretto and Michael Sonsie. The Under 19 game was a beauty as well, with fierce competition over four quarters. We certainly had our chances, but did not take them, Norwood did and that was it. The Transit Best Player went to Matt Garvin, Mike Carroll, Nick Minchin, Nick Coad, Ryan Smith, Tex Minchin. The FH Eagles did a great job for three quarters, then it all fell apart. Next time boys !! Best Players were Jason Irvine, Luke Morris, Stefan Veljovic, Fraser Walker and Nathan Werle who got 5 goals. Don’t forget the Members Draw on Thursday nights.
