Sunday 13th April Vs Gungahlin at Wanniassa.
It was a beautiful sunny day following a night of celebration for UC Pumas midfielder Laura, who had her 21st party. The field was in need of a good mow and was as long as a paddle pop stick but that did not deter the brave Pumas. Gungahlin started strong putting forward an impressive four up front with plenty of shots on goal, luckily with a solid backline made up of Duffgirl, Emma G and Lochness, only one goal slipped past the box protector. We had a few chances up front but Court was a bit nervous without her best bud Lobster by her side. The Pumas held the defensive line together for most of the first half. A big mention goes to the wingers Maddog and Soph for putting in some super crosses and a super effort from the midfielders who worked their butts off.
The Pumas came out fired up in the second half with plenty of well placed passes leading to on target shots. Then magic Bronte popped one over the 'keepers head and the crowd (consisting of Bronte's mum and boyfriend) went wild. Gungahlin attcked on the counter and had some one on one chances but the super goalkeeper didn't let anymore balls into her box. It was a tough match, the Pumas have a lot to be proud of.
Final result 1-1. Over and out, Puma Power!
