Lindsay Gilbee is a SILVAN CAT!
Lindsay, 32 is best mates with Dogga & Patty Murph is on board #catsfooty in 2014!
Lindsay was drafted to the Bulldogs in 1999 at pick 43. He went onto play 206 games and kick 119 goals for the Doggies. He was regarded as the best field kick in the AFL for most of his career. After retiring at the end of 2012 Lindsay had a year off footy, but with Dogga coaching Silvan he felt the fit was perfect for one more crack at footy.
Lindsay follows in the footsteps of his father Laurie, who played at Silvan in 1974/75 winning the B&F in both seasons. So there's a bit of "Father, son" feel about it! And it's easy to see where Lindsay's talent came from.
We'd like to welcome Lindsay to Silvan and wish him well for the year ahead.
