Sunday, April 6th, 2014
The Alexandra Football/Netball Club junior teams kicked off the 2014 season and traveled to Heathcote for two games of football and two games of netball with several new coaches, players and excited parents and grandparents.

Essence Coffee Lounge award Kobe Gogoll; Reddrops Foodworks award Jimmy Matcham; Alexandra Bakery and Café award Isiah Findlay; Alexandra Physiotherapy award Henry Meggitt; Coach’s award Nathan Capp.
UNDER 14s Football
Alexandra 9.11 – 65 defeated Heathcote 4.6 – 30
The Under 14’s produced a great performance given injuries to a number of players which made the win even more meritorious. Coach Stuart Gilmore, showing his usual mastery, had to adjust his playing group to cover these injuries and their replacements showed much determination and skill to provide a good team performance by all. Essence Coffee Lounge award Peter Cairns; Reddrops Foodworks award Ben Thomas; Alexandra Bakery and Café award Nathan Stewart; Bundalaguah Engineer award Hayden Gilmore; Coach’s award Tom Rouget.
A very big thank you to the above award sponsors for their continued support of our junior footballers and netballers in 2014. Next Sunday we are at Rebel Park and host Broadford for three games of football. Due to player unavailability, Broadford is unable to field a team in the under 16 netball and has forfeited and so we look forward to a big day of junior sport. The following weekend is a general bye for Easter. If anyone can assist with the canteen on home games during the season please speak to Ros Smith to go on the roster.
