The BDAFL have released the fixture for the 2007 season with the Newcastle City Black Diamond Cup team set to match up against Cardiff in Round 1 on the 31st March under lights at Tulkaba Park, Teralba. A downloadable fixture is now available at the bottom of this page.
Our First Division and Under 18's commence their season two weeks later on the 14th April against the Lake Macquarie Crows.
In summary the Blues Black Diamond Cup team play eight home games, nine away games and one game at Hawkins Oval (our Pre-Season training venue). The First Division and Black Diamond Cup teams have eight home games, seven away games, one game at Hawkins Oval and bye's in Rounds 1 and 3.
In the Black Diamond Cup we play Nelson Bay four times, Cardiff and Wyong on three occasions and the remainder of the teams twice. Interestingly we dont get to meet up with Killarney Vale for the first time until Round 11.
A bye for all grades is scheduled for the June Long Weekend and a four week finals series will again culminate on Grand Final Day to be held on the 8th September.
Some minor changes are more than likely over the next few weeks given the difficulties in putting together the BDAFL fixture. Having to take into account the splitting of teams due to the three clubs in the competition who only have two teams makes the GM's task an unenviable one.
