The South Toowoomba Women's team will this Sunday have their first hit out of 2014 with a Trial match at Kratzke Oval in Highfields. The Bombers will be taking on the U16 Darling Downs School Girls side and will be a great chance to blow out the cob webs before round one which will see them take on Warwick at Roddies oval in just over a weeks time.
The Bombers were the 2013 Undefeated Premiers of the inaugural Darling Downs Womens cometition, and will be out to start the season with a bang. It will be a great opportunity for some new faces in the side to get a game under their belt before the start of the season.
Women's Coach Sophie Smith says that "with the return of players from last years side, and the inclusion of new players it is bound to be a bigger and better year"
"It's great great to see the female competition developing so well in the Darling Downs, with the competition doubling in size this season it ill give the girls more opportunities to play footy"
"Our main focus this year is developing together as a team which will hopefully bring the cup home for the second time"
All Bombers friends, family and supporters are welcome so head out this Sunday and show your support for the Women's side.
