Practice makes perfect - Sundays wrap up from Scoop

Scoop is back in his second season, with all the news and match talk from around the grounds.

Mill Park headed down the Ring Road for a friendly with U9 and U12 teams. Both games played in great spirit and fun, with good crowds on the side line.

Exclusive to Nillumbik Web site, Scoop gives the summary.

U9's played Mill Park

Nillumbik and Mill Park entertained the fans with a great display of goals and team work. Some great passing and defence work from our Boys, who for many were playing their first game.

The second half was a red hot go from the whole team. Scoop was impressed with the way the team tightened up marking, played to positions, and copied the foot skills of the more experienced Mill Park Players. Scoop spotted a few 'ring ins' within the Mill Park line up, which was great for our boys to learn some new skills and positional play. Great game Team!

U12's played Mill Park

First time on the big pitch did not dent the pace of this game. Evenly matched teams delivered a very entertaining game. Scoop was impressed by the work rate of the team, particularly the second half when Mill Park tightned up marking of the forwards after our forwards ran free in the first half.

The team is showing great progress with ball control and passing to players in space to open the game up and allow the forwards to move in and pressure the backs.

U14's Vs U15s

What can Scoop say? A game of thirds (no cockney slang intended!), 3 breaks of 20 minutes was a reall winner with the BBQ team, who had the snags cooked up after the second "half".

Scoop grabbed a snag and a can of drink and went to the side lines for this epic bragging rights game. This was a great game, with good passing chains and movement. Coach Chris has a emphasised fitness and keeping shape last year and this pre season, and the boys have learnt well. Very entertaining, very good snags! Scoop is calling it a draw!
