Club Victory Tournaments
Moreland Zebras took to Goschs paddock with teams entered in U/10,U12,U14,U16. The format was a round robin format with the teams that qualified for the final to play on the AAMI Park at 6pm prior to the Victory V Adelaide game.
It was unfortunate that the U12 and U14 had players missing not enabling the teams to play at their full potential.
We would like to thank parents and players that received a last minute SOS to help. Players and parents that committed to this event were very grateful.
U10 toughed it out with 3 games with a mixed results but had a great time and experience.
U12 lost the first game3-2 with only 5 players but then managed to win the next three games with huge results but just missing out to Waverly Victory the team that we lost too.
U14 finished second in their group with a team made up of one true 14 year old and two 13 year olds. The rest made up of one 10 year old (Alex Gust) and three 12 year olds. Great effort 1 wins 1 draw and 1 loss and only 7 players
U16 progressed all the way to the final winning the semi on a penalties with the winning penalty slotted in by goal keeper Matthew Jones.
The grand final saw the U16 join the under 10 and 12 girls who qualified the week before go onto AAMI Park with
U16 boys losing 2-0 v Bentleigh Greens
U10 Girls losing 3-2 v Ashburton
U12 Girls Winning 5-1
Congratulations to All Teams that made the final and all the other teams that participated during the day.
Without a doubt we will be better for the experience and will come back next season stronger.
Thank you also to Melbourne Victory for a fantastic experience.
More Pictures to come.
