Bankstown Sports Strikers FC is pleased to announce that in 2014, it will host a Western Sydney Wanderers FC Cooperative Training Pilot Program. Strikers Grade 6, Grade 7 and Grade 8 teams and coaches will be trained and mentored by a senior technical coach from the Hyundai A-League club throughout the season.

The Co-operative Training Model is designed to develop both players and coaches building on the great work done by FFA’s courses and curriculum resources. It is important to note that this is not a direct pathway to Wanderers but a best practice model that they hope all clubs will utilise to enhance children’s love of the game and their technical development.

We believe that with the assistance of Western Sydney Wanderers FC we can become a role model club in the Bankstown District, through the use of best-practice coaching systems and an outcome-focussed syllabus in line with the National Curriculum. Our Management Committee is excited to have been chosen as one of only several sites in Western Sydney, and to be able to make this excellent opportunity available to our members.
